In fifteen days I will be taking down KnittedDreamsCrochetedDesires.com and replacing it with Tricraftual.com. I hope that I don’t lose any of you but I am not sure what to do other than post here for the next couple of weeks. At any rate I am alive and well and will start posting on Tricraftual.com late this week! Hope to see you there!
For those who have been loyal followers I’ve been gone for a while. I will be back soon with a new name and probably a new blog. Having a philosophical difference with WordPress and will probably be moving my writings. Look for information on Tricraftual which is the name that I will be using. See you soon
The Stash Cats are all dressed and the background is done BUT I will have to do more to the background. I am just sick that my counting errorshas resulted in canvas holes enlarged that must be stitched in order for me to frame this piece and not just throw it in my stack😦
If you look at the area between the large cat and her tail you will see the obvious mistake. I am taking this to my ANG meeting on Thursday and will get some ideas as how to increase the background. I think it may be something as simple as adding a stitch on either side of what is already there. It will take time but all the counting is done counting. Below is how the background is supposed to look. I learned a big lesson the hard way with this project. If I had thought about…

Yesterday I finished the large cat’s tail….Yeah!!!! The cats are all dressed in their finery. I love the results. Now I have the background to work on.
Several of you indicated that you would like a list of all the stitches I used on the large cat. There are 44 areas in total. I have previously listed the first 14. So I will start with 15 which is the dark brown on the cats body. The areas count down the body and then up the tail.
Area 15: Horizontal Florentine Variation Area 16: Heart Darning Pattern Area 17: Double Straight Cross Area 18: Jacquard Area 19: Scotch Checker Area 20: Combination Crosses Area 21: Diagonal Cashmere Area 22: Giant Scotch with Elongated Cashmere with Giant Cashmere Area 23:Three Cross Stitch Area 24: Hesitation (This is the dark grey area that is on the body and the tail)

My Mom treated me to a light to help with my needlepoint. For the most part me vision is pretty good but I remove my glasses and take advantage of the magnification. The light is by the Daylight lighting company and is a floor lamp. The long stem piece can be removed and the lamp is a desk lamp. It has a heavy base and bends in an infinite number of directions. Although I use it for needlepoint you could use it for knit and crochet work as well as sewing and quilting. I am very pleased with it.
I made a vow to myself that involved not buying every canvas that I see. I cannot create another stash. Good grief I have enough yarn to crochet and/or knit my way to Chicago. And now I have the nerve to have a needlepoint crush. Help me Lord.
